Gold farmers got around Fagex already

Past couple of days I’ve been arguing with people about the recent updates to RuneScape.

They can’t seem to understand while jagex might be doing this for our “best interest” it’s all useless because it wont stop it. Days I’ve been arguing and it’s now time to gloat:

“Merry Christmas!

Due to a very large amount of orders around this time, we temporarily are not accepting new orders.

We are nearly finished catching up on orders and all current customers will still receive their orders promptly.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Last year on Christmas we has a huge drop party, but due to recent changes to how parties work in the game it doesn’t support private parties.

Additionally, due to new updates within the game we will need to earn the gold on your account for you - although it will be the same or similar price.

The great news is that because of the new market system it is very easy to buy items and we’ll be able to lower the price on every single item in the game as we normally charged a higher price because of the time it took to get it. Expect item prices to be exactly the same as their gold value, so you can really make a great shopping list with lower prices.

We’ll certainly try to think of some ideas on what we should do together for Christmas and welcome your ideas!”

Awesome! Update isn’t even fully out and oh look a fix.

TOLD YA SO!

Nice work there jagex, screw up the game and before the update is even fully out BANG they’ve got a way around it already.

All this trouble, all this crap and they’ve got a way around it already. I bloody said they would, i KNEW they would and oh look they have.

Jagex has now made it EASIER and better for gold farmers, not only that they’ve now opened up a new opportunity - power leveling accounts.

So now these guys aren’t just screwing economy there now stepping on MY bloody toes and ruining skills, or will be very soon.

Nice one, great. Fan-fucking-tastic.

To everyone that argued for jagex, perhaps now you see just why there bloody stupid. For anyone going LOL NO 1 GUNA GIVE OVER THERE ACCOUNT don’t be so stupid. These sites are so professional about it all, people are and will give over accounts.

Nice work Jagex, prepare for thousands more 99 skillers to pop up cause i guarantee mass power leveling is coming.

For anyone going LOL DEY BAN ON DIFFRNT IP, whatever, we all know that’s rubbish. Anyone who’s let someone else on there account knows it’s rubbish. anyone who sees those autoers, in the bloody hundreds cutting away and there so FUCKING OBVIOUSLY autoers that sit there for a week know how bloody useless jagex are at this.

So yeah, runescape is doomed, that’s my prediction. Enjoy it while it lasts guys, 2008 is the end if you ask me.

Watch this spot.

    “Sigh”

Hopefully, Jagex treats MechScape better than this.

go creepy! your completely right and my opinion is similar if not the exact same. If jagex would listen to the community the game would be 100 times better.

I think they shouldve left some worlds as the wilderness we knew and love and the new one for the idiot 9 year olds who like it.

I spent a while arguing against people that what Jagex did will be worth it, but now that the Gold Farmers have already found a way round it, it seems pointless. Now they’ll start making it singular IP addresses. It’s doomed maybe, but I’m not gonna stop playing for just those reasons.

This article is very true! However, now that Jagex has much less RWT and macros to deal with they’re now able to devote more of their time to investigate and focus on account sharing or commonly known as power-leveling. I’m sure they will be monitoring everyone’s log of IP addresses upon logins, and if they notice that someone in China has logged into an account once, followed by someone in Canada I’m sure Jagex will be suspicious, possibly banning the accounts instantly.

This is awesome…this will never work. This is going to be great. So Creepy…you think this is such a great idea…your right! For you and me, see you tell me, right now… how the hell do you know which is a professional site? So the usual suspects who buy this stuff…the ones with their parent’s credit card…how are the 11 and 12 year olds going to know. See what we should do is set up a really professional account, and then steal accounts…oh it would be great.

Seriously, the one thing these site had, is that they could anonomously transfer gold for a fee. What if you want to get on your account? what if you want to talk with friends, or what if your friends see you leveling and want to talk to you.

Further, how is the payment going to be made, before hand…how do you know they won’t hold your account randsom…god Creepy this is great it takes all the “Professional Goldtraders” and pits them against the scammers/hackers…for free easy accounts…just offer a lower price for gold…and then your account is stolen and worthless, and you can’t do anything, but start a new account…Merry Christmas.

**Goes off to start professional looking gold site**

Okay, you knew this update wasn’t going to stop account sharing or selling, that is fine if people want to sell there accounts. If these companies have to get on the account, the number of people that are willing to do that are less. Plus the sites won’t be using many accounts to make a little gold…they’ll be using already established accounts. So the number of macroers…will increase, but only slightly. Seriously, I see many, many problems here with gold sellers, lastly, now it isn’t Jagex’s fault if something bad happens, it is the players, and they can’t do a thing about it, because they were breaking the rules in the first place.

How do you jack an account in this day and age? o.0

Secret questions, gold farming sites have no need to know them. Anyone stupid enough to give them out, is to stupid to know how to use a service like paypal anyway.

I said these sites was professional because in general they are, they have full 24 hour support, there sites are very well designed for the most part. They meet there deadlines and provide a very good service, even if it is cheating.

But how is some noob that has no money, coming into the game (you know the ones that steal there parent credit cards) going to know which is professional and which isn’t? You didn’t lose anything before if the transaction failed. Now you very well could lose your account…which in my opinion is more money anyway.

Another funny thin though is that the gold farmers are probably going to use bots on the accounts. If there are they many they don’t have that many people. So won’t it be funny when someone logs in and they are banned?

I think there is an equal amount of scamming opportunity here as there is gold farming.
